This makes me think about how much my actions can affect the way I feel about myself. There are days when my thoughts are negative or I just don’t feel like I’m doing very well, but that doesn’t always mean I’m actually moving backward. Sometimes I’m doing better than I give myself credit for.

I’ve also noticed that when I’m frustrated with myself, it can come out in the way I treat other people. Being impatient or shutting people out usually doesn’t make anything better. On the other hand, when I make the effort to be patient, helpful, or just treat someone with respect even when I’m having a rough day, it usually changes something in me too.

For me, the biggest message here is that I don’t always have to wait until I feel better before I start acting better. Sometimes the action has to come first. If I keep making better choices and treating people the way I want to be treated, my mindset can eventually catch up. That feels like a much more realistic way to keep growing, one decision at a time.
